The film will the story of the tumultuous life of Vincent Van Gogh

In what appears to be a unique and ground-breaking undertaking, Loving Vincent will be the first ever feature film to be composed entirely of paintings.

The movie will the story of the life and mysterious death of infamous artist Vincent Van Gogh, incorporating over 120 of his paintings, which are then animated to tell the tale.

Saoirse Ronan, Chris O'Down, Aidan Turner and Douglas Booth are set to star in the movie, acting in the roles of some of Van Gogh's most famous artistic creations.

The film is set for release some time in 2016, with concrete date set as of yet, but the first glimpse of what the movie will look like can be watched below:
