Adele at BRIT awards: 'I'd just like to take this moment to publicly support Kesha'

Meanwhile, Kesha breaks her silence with open letter on Facebook

Adele won the award for Best Female at the BRIT awards earlier this evening.

During her acceptance speech, Adele commented that: "I just want to thank my manager and my record label for embracing the fact that I'm a woman and being encouraged by it. I'd also like to take this moment to publicly support Kesha."

The statement was met with huge applause by the crowd present, while earlier today Kesha took to Facebook to write an open letter on the proceedings of her sexual assault case against producer Dr. Luke.

I'm so, so beyond humbled and thankful for all of the support I'vereceived from everyone. Words cannot really express...
