WATCH: Matthew McConaughey is a koala bear in new animated movie "Sing"

An all-star cast will perform the all-hits soundtrack

Although not due out for almost a year, the promotional campaign for comedic-animated movie Sing has already begun, and it looks like a good one!

Matthew McConaughey plays Buster Moon, a struggling theatre owner/koala who enlists his best friend to kick-start on open audition for potential singers. Which is were we get to meet most of the hopefuls arriving in droves for a chance at stardom.

From the trailer, we were won over by the sight of a bow-tie wearing snail singing "Ride Like The Wind" by Christopher Cross, or the sheep bleating out Seal's "Kiss From A Rose".

On top of Mr. "Alright Alright Alright", the voice-cast also includes Reese Witherspoon, Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Taron Egerton, Nick Offerman and Jennifer Saunders.

The movie is written and directed by Garth Jennings - perhaps best known for the 2005 adaptation of The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy - and is due to arrive in Irish cinemas on January 27th 2017.
