"Transformers"-inspired rock album is on the way

The first two singles from the project have been released

Due for release on April 15th, Transformers Roll Out is a rock project album featuring a list of artists with songs inspired by the hit TV show / movie franchiser.

Hot on the heels of yesterday's news that there is an incoming dance album consisting entirely of sound effects from the Star Wars movies, Hasbro's chief content officer Stephen Davis has announced the backing off this album.

In a statement on the project, Davis said: "The release of Transformers Roll Out truly demonstrates the pop culture power of the Transformers franchise. With generations of audiences celebrating the brand across television, film, digital entertainment, consumer products and now music, this could not be a more exciting time for Hasbro and the Transformers brand with such a unique project that really delivers on the More Than Meets the Eye brand promise."

The first two singles have already been released (both below), as well as the album's full track-list. Meanwhile, a fifth Transformers movie has been confirmed, with director Michael Bay and actor Mark Wahlberg both set to return, and is set for release in June 2017.
