First official look at the new all-female Ghostbusters reboot is here

On-set pics and official posters have been released

Despite not arriving for almost seven months, the promotional campaign for one of next year's biggest movies has just entered full swing.

Simply titled Ghostbusters, the not-really-sequel, not-really-reboot movie stars well-known funny women Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig, as well as relative newbies Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones (best known for their work in the States for Saturday Night Live), not to mention the returning cast of Bill Murray, Sigourney Weaver, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts.

Chris Hemsworth, Andy Garcia and Elizabeth Perkins rounds out the amazing cast, while Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, Spy) is in the director's chair.

With the first on-set official image of the movie being release this week - this eerie green one above - Sony Pictures have also just released the first set of posters for the film too, which is rumored to be budgeted at $154 million.

Ghostbusters busts into Irish cinemas on July 15th 2016, with the first teaser trailer due to arrive very soon.
