The police stationed in Kingscliff, Australia received quite a surprise when they investigated a suspicious noise outside their station early Wednesday morning.

To teir amazement, they found a 63 year-old man who had spray painted "Kingy Boyz Rule" and "Dumb Cops" on the side of the building and had been interfering with security cameras. The officers confronted the man, who had arrived on a toy scooter, and chased him for several hundred metres. A fight then ensued, with one officer sustaining a minor shoulder injury.

Detective Inspector Brendon Cullen spoke to Tweed News about the incident, which happened early Wednesday morning:

"The actions we're alleging are quite irrational, particularly with police being in the building at the time."

The man will appear in court later this month to face charges of assaulting and resisting police, malicious damage and possessing house-breaking implements. His scooter was confiscated from the scene.
