In the modern age, we are spending increasing amounts of hours daily in the grip of digital technology whether on computers, tablets, smart-phones or watching television. A typical Irish home has at least 3 laptops, tablet PCs or smart-phones.
But how does technology affect how our brains function?
Can an over-reliance on digital technology impair the brain’s ability to concentrate and retain information?
And is “digital dementia” a real illness or merely a pop psychology term?
To discuss these questions and more Pat was joined by Professor Ian Robertson, author, scientist, and professor of psychology at Trinity College Dublin.
