Coming up on Global Village

Coming up on tonight's Global Village

Now that Donald Trump is the 45th President of United States of America we ask how will his presidency impact on the lives of migrants in the U.S?  We speak to The Border Network for Human Rights (BNHR) Founder and Executive Director.  BNHR is one of the leading human rights advocacy and immigration reform organizations located at the U.S./Mexico Border.

We also explore how 1 in every 4 women in Ireland experience physical and sexual violence from a male partner. Lynn Rosenthal, First White House Advisor on Violence Against Women jons us in studio while we also chat to Maria Dempsey, mother of Alicia Brough, who was killed by her friend's ex-partner in Limerick 6 years ago is also attending.

Finally, starting this week women are working for nothing - that's right, the current gender pay gap stands at 13.6 per cent which amounts to 7 weeks a year for free! We chat to Niamh Allen, Head of Development and Membership at the National Women's Council of Ireland to see how we can make a change.

Join us on Saturday evening from the later time of 8pm or why not join the conversation, we love to hear your thoughts @GlobalVillageNT
