Coming up on Global Village this weekend

We kick off the show by talking about Autism.  We have a panel of guests including 13 year old Abby Caswell,  Cathal McDaniels whose son Dara has a diagnoses of autism, Patrick Wall who was recently diagnosed with High Functioning Autism in his 30’s and finally Michael Ryan - Counsellor/Psychotherapist. We learn about living with Autism and how it’s not a one size fits all condition.

Today’s children can often have a troublesome start when it comes to eating.  Baby-led weaning is when babies are encouraged to feed themselves instead of taking purees from a spoon.  Aileen Cox Blundell is a mother of three and is the creative force behind Baby Led Feeding, she joins us in studio to share her experience.

Finally the National Youth Council of Ireland are asking the government to provide Ireland's  10-24 year olds with the necessary supports so they can achieve their potential and contribute to our society and economy. James Doorley, National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI) Deputy Director joins us in studio to look at how the government must look after our young people.

Tune in from 7pm on Saturday, or better still join in the conversation.
