Coming Up on Global Village This weekend

We have another packed show in store for you this Saturday night.

We are kicking off with Professor Frank Murray, President of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland and Justin Carty CEO of IMSTA.  They are joining us in studio to discuss reusable medical equipment which is being sent from Ireland to hospitals in Zambia next month in response to local need, as part of an innovative scheme to improve healthcare and training.   We hear why the equipment is so badly needed in Zambia.

The #LoveWins tool filters online content, searching web-pages for homophobic or transphobic comments and replacing them with positive wording.  We are joined in studio by the creators from Connector Nicole Owens and Mei Ling Tong, we hear where the inspiration for the tool came from and how exactly it works.

Finally you will all know Ruairí McKiernan from his work with SpunOut.  He has now launched a podcast called Love and Courage that features 1 hour soulful audio interviews with inspirational people.  He'll be telling us all about it.

Tune in to hear all that and more from 7pm on Saturday.
