The race for nominations

American poltics at its best

If you think Irish politics gets a bit farcical at times. Console yourself. You could be trying to elect a President of the United States of America, where Donald Trump is still spectacularly failing to implode. This morning we’re going to catch up on the race for nominations, and ask if Irish politics can learn anything, for good or ill, from the process across the pond.

Our panel this week are,

Terry Prone, communications consultant.

Simon Carswell, Washington correspondent for the Irish Times.

Liam Kennedy, Director of the Clinton Institute at UCD.

Karen Devine, lecturer in International relations at DCU.

Harry Browne, lecturer in journalism at DIT.
