"It was great for their club, great for the culture that they have out there"
Leinster and Ireland's Jamie Heaslip has spoken of his admiration for what Connacht has achieved this season.
He was part of the Leinster side that was brushed aside by the western province in the Guinness Pro 12 final on Saturday and Heaslip spoke of how impressed he was with the whole Connacht package.
"They played an attacking style of rugby and they were the pace-setters all season, so it just reflected the season for them and fair play to them. I think it was great for their club, great for the culture that they have out there, that they've kind of developed over the last 3-4 years," he said.
His Ireland -team-mate and Connact second-row Ultan Dillane also showed him just how much support they had from the fanbase.
"He showed me one or two of the videos of the support they had and I've never seen anything like that. He was telling me they landed at half 2 and he said there were about 3,000 people there and he said there were bonfires the whole way in, the whole way along the road and then they got in there at about 3 o'clock in the morning then into Galway and he said there were thousands of people just packed.
"Then the next day, he was showing me the video of them going through Galway and thousands of people out and the stadium's packed. So in terms of getting more people engaged in the game, it's fantastic."
