John Giles says he finds some of Jurgen Klopp's public comments "hard to understand".

John, who does think Klopp was a "good appointment for Liverpool" and "expects him to do well in the long-term" was reacting to the former Borussia Dortmund manager's remarks about how the British weather - specifically the wind - has impacted on his philosophy.

"I find him a bit strange. I see him interviewed and some of the things he's said. His behaviour a couple of weeks ago against West Brom when he was running down to the Kop end or the other end after getting a 2-2 draw was a bit weird. When he's interviewed I find him hard to understand - not hard to understand his language," he told Off The Ball, adding that he doesn't go along with the wind argument.

"I just him odd [in terms of] his behaviour at the moment and maybe he's always going to be odd. But I think he gets the job done and I think he will get the job done for Liverpool."

John also talked about Manchester City's 0-0 draw with Leicester City and says he wants to see far more from summer signings Raheem Sterling and Kevin de Bruyne.

He also believes that the City squad is "not as talented" as some people might suggest.
