Former Ireland defender reacts to Arsenal's win at Olympiakos on Off The Ball
Kenny Cunningham believes Arsene Wenger has a "good problem" to try and solve in terms of pitching Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil into the same starting midfield.
The former Ireland centre-back joined Off The Ball to talk about Arsenal's win over Olympiakos and he told us that he does not think Ramsey is best in a deeper midfielder role and if moved further forward, it would need Ozil to be moved into another position.
"As well as Ramsey did tonight and Ozil for me, potentially there's still a problem - a good problem to have - in terms of incorporating Ramsey and Ozil in the team. But both in the central area of the pitch, I think that's very difficult. I still don't think that's Ramsey's best position in an orthodox two. I think he's better in an advanced midfield position but if you do that, then you have to accommodate him by throwing Ozil [on the wing]," Kenny said, while he also gave his take on Olivier Giroud's role after scoring a hat-trick tonight.
