Terrorists are being radicalised within the prison system says former Taoiseach John Bruton

John Bruton who was in Brussels this morning, says Europe must retain free movement within member states

Former Taoiseach John Bruton believes terrorists are being radicalised within prison systems. Speaking to George Hook this evening he said 'People who go to prison for perhaps minor offences emerge having been inculcated with terrorist ideology.'

He said it's important we learn from the past and avoid scapegoating Muslims for these attacks which have been caused by 'lax security and poor integration'. He said we must keep a sense of proportion about these events particularly when talking about border control as any change to free movement would give the terrorists what they want.
