A major project to rebuild the earthquake-hit city of Christchurch in New Zealand is looking for 36,000 Irish workers.

A one-off recruitment drive for the jobs gets underway in Dublin today.

Jobs are also being offered in Australia and Canada.

Scott Mathieson is Chief Executive of “Working In”, the company hosting today’s jobs fair.

He says employers from Christchurch want to fill vacancies across a range of industries – including engineering, healthcare and accountancy:
