'I think you're right on one thing George', Simpson told the High Noon presenter, 'people in Europe don't understand what a world would be like as Donald Trump as President, so they don't think it will happen'

Simpson also argued that he could see distinct parallels between what's happening in America and the Brexit vote earlier this year.
