Gary Murphy of DCU joins George on the Notre Dame campus to discuss his book 'Electoral Competition in Ireland since 1987'

The landscape of Irish politics, much like the landscape of politics globally, is changing.

In his book 'Electoral Competition in Ireland since 1987', Gary Murphy gives a flavour of what it have taken to make an impact in the Irish political system.

He joined George Hook today as High Noon broadcast live from Notre Dame University in Indiana.

George maintained that the Left is far more aggressive than it used to be, and Murphy wasn't disagreeing, remembering a far different Left when it was dominated by the likes of the Labour Party.
