Tottenham Hotpsur have confirmed that they will play their home matches at Wembley next season.

White Hart Lane is currently being redeveloped into a 61,000 plus stadium with construction well under way already.

Speaking at the announcement of the move, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy said: "Wembley will be our home for a season and then we shall return to what will be one of the  best stadiums of its kind and the most unique in the world playing host to NFL games too - a stadium that will be key to our future growth and success.

"Both on and off the pitch, this is an incredibly exciting time in the history of our club," he added.

Spurs played their European games at the national stadium this season in preparation for the move next season.

Tottenham have two games remaining at their current ground: the north London derby against Arsenal this Sunday and then the visit of Manchester United on 14th May.
