There is an important weekend of rugby coming in the Guinness Pro 12 as a set of inter-pro fixtures arrive.

On Saturday, Munster welcome Ulster to Thomond Park, while Leinster make the trip to Connacht for some all-Irish ties.

And the action from last weekend has left things delicately poised for the Irish in the race for the playoff places.

Leinster enjoyed a tight win over an Ospreys side that occupy third place in the Pro 12 standings as Leo Cullen's side maintained their place at the summit.

Meanwhile, Munster managed to keep stride with their rivals with a very narrow home win over Glasgow that keeps them two points behind Leinster in the table.

Ulster meanwhile missed the chance to stay fourth after being held to a draw by Cardiff Blues which allowed fellow Welsh side Scarlets to go level on points but crucially above the Irish province on matches won thanks to a bonus point victory over Benetton Treviso.

Reigning champions Connacht earned a win at Edinburgh to consolidate seventh place, although last season's Pro 12 winners remain 19 points adrift of Scarlets and Ulster.

If you missed any of the weekend's action, catch up with the official highlights of all four Irish provinces' fixtures:

 Edinburgh 19-22 Connacht

Ulster 24-24 Cardiff Blues

Ospreys 18-20 Leinster
