Kerry ended Dublin's unbeaten record on Sunday
Kerry manager Eamon Fitzmaurice praised the way his side closed out Sunday's win over Dublin to claim the Allianz National Football League Division 1 title.
Speaking to Newstalk Sport's Oisin Langan he said: "Every time Kerry and Dublin play each other particularly in Croke Park, you've got some fantastic games of football and over the last couple of years some of the games have been the best of the last ten years so everyday you go out you know you're going to get an incident packed football match and today was no different.
"I think we just saw it out a bit better and we got a rub of the green as well with Dean Rock's shot coming off the post at the end. Possibly we haven't had that rub of the green in the past. I think you need that but today we just saw it out a small bit better and just got there in the end," he added.
It's been a very positive league from that point of view that so many of our younger players have come in and been exposed to loads of game time particularly in big games.
They developed in that they have to play in the National League first of all. Dublin coming to Tralee was another step in their development and then Dublin in Croke Park is another step again so they've all come through that with flying colours.
