It's his first role since leaving the England job after a disappointing Euro 2016
Former England manager Roy Hodgson will work as a consultant for one of Manchester City's sister clubs.
The veteran coach has taken a role with Melbourne City until the end of the Australian season.
Hodgson has been out of work since England were famously knocked out of Euro 2016 by Iceland after a shock 2-1 result in the last 16 in France.
Leicester reportedly spoke to him about their managerial vacancy after sacking Claudio Ranieri, before appointing Craig Shakespeare until the end of the season.
According to The Guardian, the 69 year old will take on an advisory role at Melbourne in a short term capacity for a period of about one month.
He has managed in numerous countries during a four decade long managerial career, taking in Sweden, Switzerland and Italy, among others.
