We rate Pat Lam's men as they fell short in Toulouse in the Champions Cup
A typically brave Connacht performance ended in disappointment this afternoon in France, with defeat to Toulouse signalling the end of their Champions Cup campaign.
We rate the Connacht players after they came up short in France against Toulouse.
Tiernan O'Halloran - 6
Struggled to get into the game and was nowhere near his best.
Niyi Adeolokun - 6
Knocked-on a simple pass in the first half which appeared to be the theme of Connacht's display. Replaced after the hour mark.
Peter Robb - 6
Fairly anonymous throughout but wasn't helped by those around him
Craig Ronaldson - 6
Poor pass behind when his team were on the attack and needed to keep Toulouse pinned back in the first half. Missed a penalty kick he should have scored.

Matt Healy - 6
Handling errors pockmarked his display and should have scored in the corner late on.
Jack Carty - 6
Tried to get those outside him moving but to know avail.
Kieran Marmion - 8
Tried to keep a high tempo throughout but sometimes his teammates failed to keep up with him. Never gave up and was a terrier throughout.
Denis Buckley - 7
Brilliant turnover won a penalty in Toulouse which led to his team's opening three points.

Tom McCartney - 6
Poor knock-on in the second half with Connacht in a good position. Fairly anonymous as well.
Finlay Bealham - 6
Needlessly charged out of the defensive line when Toulouse were under pressure in the second half. Badly beaten in a scrum late on as Connacht looked to keep the home side pinned in their own half.
Quinn Roux - 5
Gave away a stupid penalty and was rightly yellow carded late in the first half. Didn't do much to make up for it.

James Cannon - 6
Industrious display in the line-out and around the park.
Nepia Fox-Matamua - 6
Another who suffered from poor hands. Part of a largely anonymous back-row at the breakdown as the home side won multiple turnovers throughout.
Jake Heenan - 6
Led the defensive line well but was out-played at the breakdown by a far superior side.
John Muldoon (c) - 7
Tried to keep his team going even though they were outplayed and overpowered for most of the match. Should have stressed to go for drop-goals in the last 10 minutes more. Took his try well.

Bench - 6
Failed to make the impact required to even get the three points needed at the end.
