Donegal fighter Joe Duffy is to return to action in March, at UFC Fight Night 107 in London.

The Donegal lightweight will fight for the first time in almost nine months when he faces Sweden's Reza Madadi on March 18th. It's Duffy's final fight in his current contract, as the Donegal fighter has struggled to agree to new terms with the company.

Duffy was offered a fight in Belfast late last year, but he turned it down, claiming he was hoping to fight a higher-calibre opponent.

Having earned $40,000 for his win over Mitch Clarke, Duffy may now test the free market at the end of his UFC contract in a bid to become more financially stable. Speaking to Newstalk in October, Cage Warriors CEO Graham Boylan confirmed they were hopeful Duffy could return to the organisation if he moved on from UFC.

Madadi has previously fought in Ireland, losing to Norman Parke in October 2015. He has a record of 14-4, compared to Duffy's 16-2.
