The young supporter was thrilled to have a moment in the spotlight on her big day
James Harden was a key part of his team's 111-92 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night.
Harden, known to Rockets fans as simply "The Beard" (for obvious enough reasons), scored 38 points, and notched eight assists and six rebounds to guide his side to their 33rd win of the year.
After the game, he decided that there was a fan in the audience who deserved a special gesture given the day that was in it.
The shooting guard went to a fan on the sidelines who was celebrating her 100th birthday, and signed the game ball for her before posing for a quick picture.
Speaking to ESPN after the game, Harden explained that he was honoured to have the chance to chat with her after the game.
"Today's her 100th birthday," Harden said. "I was happy to go give her the game ball and tell her how blessed she is and that I am for meeting her."
