Anderson "The Spider" Silva returns to the octagon in February at UFC 208 in Brooklyn where he will face Derek Brunson.

The Brazilian was last seen fighting in the UFC when he stepped in at short notice and fought Daniel Cormier in a non-title light-heavyweight fight at UFC 200 last July when he lost via unanimous decision.

The former middleweight champion has been on a poor run of form since losing his title to Chris Weidman in July 2013. He broke his leg in the rematch and was out for over a year.

He then had a decision win over Nick Diaz overturned into a no-contest after being flagged by the Nevada Athletic Commission.

He didn't fight again until he took on Michael Bisping in Manchester in February 2016 where he dropped a unanimous decision to the Briton prior to losing to Cormier a few months later.

Silva hasn't officially won since beating Stephan Bonnar in October 2012.

Brunsen comes into the bout on the back of a stoppage loss to Robert Whittaker but had won five straight going into that bout.

UFC 208 is headlined by the inaugural women's featherweight title fight between Holly Holm and Germaine de Randamie.
