The third round match ended up being a one sided affair
Manchester City have comfortably sealed their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup after hammering West Ham 5-0 at the London Stadium.
Pep Guardiola's side led by three by the break as their opponents a third straight defeat.
Yaya Toure opened the scoring at the London Stadium from the penalty spot after Pablo Zabaleta was fouled in the box on 32 minutes.
Four minutes before half time, it was 2-0.
A flowing move ended up with the ball being squared for Raheem Sterling. He did not get the final touch however as West Ham defender Havard Nordtveit put it into his own net.
Another good move saw Sterling break through the Hammers defence and crossed for David Silva to tap in a third goal on 43 minutes.
Sergio Aguero made it 4-0 three minutes after half time after applying the final touch to a Toure shot.
And with the game already over as a contest, City defender John Stones added a fifth (his first for the club) with a header from a corner.
While City ease into the draw for the fourth Round, Saturday and Sunday's action will decide which third round teams join them.
Manchester United take on Reading, who are managed by their former defender Jaap Stam, in Saturday's 12.30pm kick off.
Arsenal travel to face Preston North End in the 5.30pm match while Everton and reigning Premier League champions Leicester are involved in an all-top flight game at 3pm at Goodison Park.
Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea all play their third round games on Sunday.
