The new White Hart Lane is being built around the current ground
Tottenham Hotspur have quietly, yet effectively been working on their new stadium.
The 61,000 capacity stadium is currently being built around the current White Hart Lane ground. As they already have this season for European games, the team will temporarily move out of the ground as works continue.
So far this season, the ground has had a reduced capacity as work continues at the northern end of the stadium, which is slowly being closed in by it's replacement.
Ahead of the move, the club have released a new video, showing what the ground will look like upon completion.
One of the stand-out aspects of the redevelopment is a single-tier stand behind one of the goals, The 17,000-seater will be the largest stand of its kind in the Premier League.
In July 2015 the club also announced plans to host NFL games each season, with the stadium being specifically built to cater for the specifications of American football too.
Tottenham's method of redevelopment could be seen as a sustainable method of keeping a team's heritage, whilst avoiding as much disruption as possible.
The redeveloped White Hart Lane will be one of the more striking of modern stadia in Europe.
