Celtic's Scott Sinclair has hailed the champion's fighting spirit after they came from a goal down to beat city rivals Rangers in the Old Firm derby at Ibrox on Saturday.

Speaking to the club's official website he said: “It was great. The main thing was we got the job done and won the game. We haven’t been 1-0 down in many games we have played so it showed our character moving forward. When we go 1-0 down, we get the ball down, keep calm and keep creating chances.

“I always thought they would come out all guns blazing straight away in the first 10 minutes. They were up for it as were we. They scored their goal and the crowd got behind them. We had to deal with that and show our character and come back.

“I have never played here before and the magnitude of the game is unbelievable and it’s great to be part of it, play in it and score the winner as well. It didn’t really surprise me, it was just a massive game to play in.  We are always up for games, especially the big ones, and it was great to go and get the three points," he added.

Celtic not sit 19 points clear at the top of the table with a game in hand over their closest challengers. Brendan Rodger's side are still unbeaten in domestic competition.
