The Man United boss is feeling festive these days
Jose Mourinho has said that he advised his players to hand out their shirts to the travelling supporters who turned out to watch them defeat West Brom yesterday.
Man United players including Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford and captain Wayne Rooney were seen handing out their jerseys to fans after the game.
Mourinho later admitted that he encouraged the players to do this and that it was unfortunate that there wasn't enough for all the fans.
"I told them to do that. It is Christmas time. A shirt for a fan coming directly from the game with sweat means a lot. It is a pity that not everyone can get one but for the ones that can get it, it is a great feeling."
"For them [the players], it is just one more shirt. They will arrive in the dressing room and give it to the kitman, to a friend or change with a West Brom friend."
Two strikes from Zlatan Ibrahimovic secured all three points for the Red Devils yesterday, leaving them 13 points off table leaders Chelsea heading for Christmas Day.
