Yaya Toure has been charged with drink driving, according to police.

Police say the Man City player was driving in an area in London when he was stopped, and was later charged on Tuesday.

He has been bailed and is due to appear before court on December 13th.

It's reported that Toure previously spoke about his life as a devout Muslim and refused champagne after receiving a man of the match award.

Toure was recently reinstated in the City first team after apologising on behalf of his agent Dimitri Seluk, who said his client was 'humiliated' after being omitted from the City squad for the Champions League.

He scored twice during his side's win over Crystal Palace and came on as a substitute during today's 3-1 defeat to Chelsea.
