The Chiefs defeated the Denver Broncos in overtime
Kansas City Chiefs kept their playoff hopes alive with an overtime win over the SuperBowl champion Denver Broncos.
Cairo Santos scored a field goal, off the post, with the final play in overtime to give the Chiefs a 30-27 win in Denver. The win leaves the Chiefs only a win behind the Oakland Raiders at the top of the AFC West. The loss for the Broncos also leaves the team at risk of missing out on the end-of-season playoffs.
Oakland won their fifth win in a row, with a 35-32 win at home to the Carolina Panthers. Last year's NFC Champions, still remain on course to finish bottom of the NFC South after the loss.
The Raiders led by 17 points at half-time, but somehow trailed going into the final quarter, and eight points down with 13 minutes left. A Sebastian Janikowski field goal in the final two minutes earned a dramatic win for the Raiders.
