Spain's Marc Gasol plays with Memphis Grizzlies
Conor McGregor's influence has finally broken into the NBA.
The Dubliner is now legitimately one of the biggest sports stars in America. Such is his celebrity, NBA players are beginning to impersonate 'The Notorious'.
On Wednesday night, Marc Gasol, the Memphis Grizzlies center scored a three-pointer in the final 20 seconds against the LA Clippers, to take the lead, before the team won 111-107.
To celebrate the game-winning basket, Gasol walked away from celebrating by using McGregor's "Billy Walk". The two-weight UFC champion has modelled the strut on WWE owner Vince McMahon.
After the win. Gasol went one further by adding on Twitter, "I want to apologize.... TO ABSOLUTELY NOBODY!" for the antics.
The phenomenon of Conor McGregor continues to astound. Gasol was a two-time Olympic silver medallist and one-time All-Star before the Dubliner made his UFC debut, and now he's imitating Ireland's most famous sportsperson.
