After working himself into a title-winning position, Seamus Power slumped to joint 28th on the final day of the OHL Classic in Mexico.

The Olympian has enjoyed a positive start to life on the PGA circuit overall. After missing the cut at the Safeway Open, he finished tied-29th in the Sanderson Farms championship, and joint-57th in the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open last week.

At the end of the third round in Mexico he was just three back and chasing his first PGA win but bogeys and a double-bogey across the front and back nine resulted in a five-over 76 on the final day in what is his 25th tournament of the season.

Meanwhile, last year's champion Graeme McDowell, finished the tournament on eleven-under par in a tie for 24th place.
