The German international has yet to play for the team under Jose Mourinho
The Manchester United midfielder has been frozen out of the side under manager Jose Mourinho. Having been stripped of his place in the squad, the 32-year-old has coped with a testing situation very admirably.
Schweinsteiger continues to go to games and train at the team's Carrington base, but has been the biggest casualty of the short Mourinho era.
Even on Wednesday night, ahead of the EFL Cup game with Manchester City, the World Cup winner was ever the professional in supporting his teammates.
While he continues to hope for a future with United, Mourinho is doing all he can to force the German away.
The latest example came on Thursday morning, when Schweinsteiger was the notable omission from Manchester United's squad picture for the season.
Schweinsteiger's best chance of leaving Old Trafford will come in January, with a move to America looking most likely. Although not as effective as he once was, the German's demeanour in what has been a very testing time, must be applauded.
