Haye made his return to the ring this year after a four-year hiatus following a victory over rival Derek Chisora.
Sky Sports report that Shannon Briggs is being lined up as a possible opponent for Haye, with the pair having enjoyed a long running feud and even fought on the same card in May.
Briggs even took to social media after the announcement to publicly express his interest in taking the fight.
He tweeted: How many people want to @TheCannonBriggs vs @mrdavidhaye throw down? #LETSGOCHAMP #LETSGOCHAMP
