Their Champions League opener was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch
Manchester City's Champions League clash with Borussia Monchengladbach has been rescheduled for Wednesday night, after a waterlogged pitch postponed Tuesday's game.
The decision was made just after 7.20pm, with conditions being deemed unplayable by the match officials. Thunder showers fell on Manchester all evening ahead of the game.
After negotiations with the stewarding company, Manchester City have confirmed that the game will take place at 7.45pm this evening. The Group C clash will take place simultaneously with the eight other games that were originally scheduled to Wednesday night, including Leicester City's trip to Bruges.
In Group C, Barcelona top the table after their 7-0 demolition of Celtic. A Lionel Messi hat-trick, along with a Luis Suarez brace and goals from Neymar and Andres Iniesta saw the Catalan side have the best possible start to their campaign.
