Tickets are on sale for the new stand
Connacht Rugby have confirmed that additional seating will be in place for the 2016/2017 season.
The new stand will be placed next to the Main Stand and will seat 300 supporters, according to the club's website. This will bring the overall capacity to 8,100.
Connacht's Head Coach Pat Lam outlined a need for more seating last season, to accommodate the swell of fans attending their games ahead of their historic win in the Pro 12 final.
Connacht CEO has also stated that plans are in place to build a new 10,000-seater stadium and there is also the possibility of Connacht sharing Eamonn Deacy Park with SSE Airtricity League Premier Division side Galway United, should the stadium be redeveloped.
Connacht begin their 2016/2017 season this weekend against Glasgow Warriors and tickets for the new stand are now on sale.
