The pair were subject to a parade around their home town
Paul and Gary O'Donovan received a heroes welcome as they returned to their hometown of Skibbereen this evening.
The duo were one of Ireland's shining lights at the Rio Olympic Games as they won silver in the men's lightweight double sculls.
Cork were made to wait for the return of the Olympians after Paul travelled to Rotterdam and subsequently won gold in the Rowing World Championships, in the men's lightweight single sculls.
The pair returned to their native Skibbereen tonight and were greeted by masses of locals vying to see the silver medallists.
