The Chilean takes charge at Chinese Super League (CSL) side Hebei China Fortune
Former Manchester City manager is back in management after leaving the club at the end of May and has gone farther afield for his next job.
Pellegrini follows Ramires and Graziano Pelle to China as he takes charge of Chinese Super League (CSL) side Hebei China Fortune.
The Chilean spent three years with the club and won the Premier League title in 2014. He guided Manchester City to a first ever Champions League semi-final earlier this year, before being replace by Pep Guardiola.
The 62-year-old is the latest high-profile manager to move to the league, joining Luis Felipe Scolari and Sven-Goran Eriksson.
Hebei are fifth in the Chinese Super League with seven matches remaining.
