The UFC has confirmed that it will return to the city of Belfast this coming November for this first time in over nine years.

UFC fight night Belfast will take place at the SSE Arena, where it was hosted the last time the organisation came to Belfast in 2007.

Speaking about the announcement, James Elliott, General Manager and Vice President of UFC EMEA, said:

"It goes without saying that Ireland is a key market for us, and the popularity of MMA amongst Irish fans continues to grow exponentially year on year. Irish MMA fans are among the most passionate that we’ve seen anywhere in the world, and they have long been asking for the UFC to return."

"This year, we wanted to bring the action to Northern Ireland, and we expect the same overwhelming response when tickets go on sale. We look forward to delivering an unforgettable event for the city of Belfast, one which will be remembered for years to come."

UFC has previously hosted sell-out events in Dublin between 2014 and 2015 where UFC stars Conor McGregor, Joe Duffy and Aisling Daly won significant fights in front of a home crowd.

Tickets will go on general sale on Friday, September 23 through Ticketmaster and will also be available at the SSE Arena box office. Fight Club members will be able to purchase tickets earlier on Wednesday September 21.
