Dublin manager Ger Cunningham

Ger Cunningham has stated his intention to remain in charge of the Dublin hurlers.

The Bord Gais Energy All-Ireland under-21 ambassador was speaking to Newstalk's Oisin Langan ahead of the semi-finals, involving Waterford v Antrim and Galway against Dublin.

Cunningham says he and the county board will sit down together soon.

"We're due to sit down in the next couple of weeks to look at next year. Initially we shook hands on three years and I'll be going into my third season next year and I would expect that process to be sorted in the next couple of weeks," he said.

"I made a commitment from the point of view of when I got involved. It's been a great challenge up to now, it's been enjoyable except for all the travelling but it's something that I'll discuss with the lads and hopefully in the next few weeks we'll have it sorted."
