The finale was delayed and then pushed back until tomorrow
Annalise Murphy's Rio 2016 medal race will now take place on Tuesday.
The Women's Laser Radial finale was due to take place on Monday evening at about 5.05pm Irish time.
But a lack of wind at the venue saw the race delayed.
Eventually the conditions became windy at about 8pm Irish time but it was then deemed too windy for action to go ahead.
Thus, the race is rescheduled for tomorrow.
They're postponing until tomorrow. They don't think they'll have time to set the course in these conditions.... https://t.co/kPaDtOlis5— Annalise Murphy (@Annalise_Murphy) August 15, 2016
Murphy is third overall after 10 races, heading into the Medal Race as she looks to better her fourth place finish from London 2012.
If racing is also affected tomorrow - Tuesday is the last reserve day for the event - then the current standings would be used and Murphy would win a bronze medal.
