Ireland's Annalise Murphy finished sixth in her Laser Radial race on Saturday in Rio, pushing her up the overall rankings to second.

The medal race, which takes place on Monday, will see her pushing for gold after her finish on Saturday saw her regain lost ground in the overall rankings.

Her strong performance comes off the back of a testing day on Friday, when conditions were difficult and she finished 18th and 12th in Races 7 and 8.

However, a quick finish in Saturday's race saw her finish sixth in race 9, climbing back up the rankings to second and well in the mix for medals.
