Having been second overall heading into Wednesday's opening race, the Irish sailor added to two previous Top 5 finishes - including first in Race 1 - from the first four races with fifth in Race 5.

Significantly she finished three places ahead of overall leader Lijia Xu of China but drops to third overall ahead of Race 6.

In the Men's race, Finn Lynch started strongly, ranking eighth after the first mark but settled for 18th in his fifth race.

He had been ranked 24th overall after the opening four races.

The 20-year-old is back-up to 23rd in the overall rankings.
