He has been in charge for five seasons
Terry Hyland has stepped down as manager of the Cavan footballers after five years in the job.
Despite leading his county to Division One in the National League earlier this year, Hyland has resigned after a disappointing championship campaign, which featured a heavy Ulster semi-final replay defeat to Tyrone before losing to Derry in the qualifier series.
Hyland cited work commitments as one of the reasons why he has stepped down.
He has been in charge for five seasons, having led the county to Ulster under-21 titles.
