They defeated Tipperary in the Bord Gais Energy final
Waterford senior star Austin Gleeson says their Bord Gais Energy Munster under-21 hurling title is "incredible" for the county.
The Deise defeated Tipperary in the final tonight with Gleeson to the fore with four points from play in a commanding display.
Speaking to Newstalk's Oisin Langan after the final whistle, he put into perspective what he and his team-mates have achieved.
"It's absolutely incredible. It's the first one since '94, first ever Munster final that we've won in Waterford. We just need to keep driving on and see where it takes us," he said.
Tipperary fought back in the second half but an excellent second goal by Peter Hogan put Waterford firmly back in control.
"It was massive as well, Stephen [Bennett] giving the ball to him as well. He just kept going and going and put it in the goal and that's all that mattered and that's why we won so thank God," said Gleeson.
