The former Liverpool defender joins up with Rogers having worked with him on Merseyside
Kolo Toure is expected to sign with Glasgow Celtic today as Brendan Rogers continues to put his own stamp on his new squad.
Celtic play Astana on Wednesday as they continue their journey back to the Champions League and if Toure passes his medical, he will be available to play that game.
The 35-year-old was released by Liverpool this year but the pair worked together at Liverpool when the now Celtic manager brought in Toure on a free transfer from Manchester City.
The deadline for players to sign was July 21st ahead of the next round of Champions League qualifiers but each team is allowed one 'wildward' player.
The 35-year-old was photographed outside Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow before undergoing a medical on Saturday morning.
