"Rio is officially on its way" - Irish modern pentathlete is in his final preparations for the Olympics

Arthur Lanigan-O'Keeffe is one of Ireland's best medal prospects in Brazil

You can almost smell the suncream on the Copacabana. The Olympics is really that close.

Arthur Lanigan-O'Keeffe is preparing for his second Olympic Games, and the buildup is in start contrast to what happened four years ago on the road to London

The European Modern Pentathlon champion was only given an Olympic spot less than a week before the Opening Ceremony four years ago due to a late withdrawal. This time around, the Kilkenny athlete will be one of Ireland's best medal hopes in Brazil.

Last month, the Kilkenny native was front and centre, when Ireland's Olympic kit was launched in Dublin. It's a far cry from his buildup in 2012.

The 24-year-old shows some of the kit, with the help of diver Oliver Dingley, that Irish athletes will be wearing in Brazil.

It's really getting close...
