One penalty sent well over the bar has caused major instability for Argentina.

Since Lionel Messi skied his spot kick in the Copa America final shootout a couple of weeks ago, Argentina missed the chance to end a major tournament drought stretching back 23 years, the Barcelona star sensationally retired from international duty and manager Gerardo Martino stepped down.

Ever wondered what happened to the ball that Messi kicked over the bar?

It was caught by a Chile fan behind the goal called Pedro Vasquez and he is planning on putting it up for auction according to MARCA who has spoken to him.

So far, it is set to yield him at least in the region of €27,000.
